A public tender, launched by NOVA, gave him the opportunity to teach in his field of study, specifically in the programming area. All research carried out in HASLab, especially in the area of programming, was determinant.

The teacher admits that his research institution will always be HASLab however, he also raises the possibility of joining the research center of NOVA.

Despite not being the first time that he teaches, Jácome Cunha confesses that this aspect has always been in his plans. He began teaching in part-time at the Polytechnic Institute of Porto and currently also teaches at the University of Minho.
