HASLab researcher elected chair of the EICS Steering Committee

José Creissac Campos, senior researcher at INESC TEC’s High-Assurance Software Laboratory (HASLab), was elected chair of the Steering Committee of the international conference Engineering Interactive Computing Systems (EICS). José Creissac Campos starts his new role in January 2020.

ICS is a conference of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), dedicated to all usable and effective elements of interactive computing systems engineering.

José Creissac Campos is now responsible for the strategic vision and long-term planning of the event, thus ensuring all deadlines are met. In addition, he will scout and select candidates for the organisation of the following editions, and nominate the general chair and organising committee of each conference.

This annual conference focuses on tools, techniques and methods for designing and developing interactive systems, while bringing together members of communities in the fields of interactive systems engineering, software engineering, requirements engineering, ubiquitous systems and game development.

The next edition of EICS will take place in 2020, between June 23 and 26, in Nice, France.
