HASLab researcher Clayton Maciel Costa concludes PhD

Last week, Clayton Maciel Costa defended his doctoral thesis, titled "Efficient adaptive query processing on large database systems in the cloud environment", which was unanimously approved by the jury.

This study, which started in 2013, focuses on the development of adaptive processing strategies for queries based on the Service Level Agreement (SLA) contract between an entity, usually in the area of Information Technology, and its client, which allows stipulating the response time regarding a system request, in large databases available on the cloud.

It should be mentioned that Clayton Maciel Costa, professor at the Federal Institute of Rio Grande do Norte (IFRN), was advised by António Luís Sousa, professor at the School of Engineering of the University of Minho and researcher at the High-Assurance Software Laboratory (HASLab), and that he did his PhD within the scope of the Doctoral Program in Informatics (PDINF).
